Blogging alot this week... More pics from the 50th!

Navigating life's journey...

right now. I'm praying alot. Thinking more than most times. We're under stress (as all of you are as well). God is on his throne for sure... Jesus is alive in our hearts... the Spirit is present and moving and changing and helping us grow.... why is there always a BUT? But, we are struggling with seeing how God will take us through all of the ups and downs right now. Our faith is not diminished, rather flourishing. Our issues are really seated in trying to understand how our leaps of faith (that have been prayed over and we believe answered by God) do not seem to coincide with the Lord's blessing of our leaps and plans? As always, PRAY, PRAY, PRAY:

-for my wife and kids
-for the Orchard
-for the communities of Morrow and Maineville
-for the fire to fall and the wind to blow

We're putting our house on the market...

...hopefully this Tuesday. As most of you know, Corrie and I's financial struggles have been nearing the breaking point over the past few years. We have emptied out all of our failsafes trying to keep the Orchard afloat over the past 3 years. Now, we are losing our home. We're still praying for a miracle for this month's house payment (now 27 days late). Anyway, we're hoping that God will help us get through the next few weeks. We'd rather not go to foreclosure (sp?). We've talked and prayed extensively and still feel like our resolve is focused on working in this community. Pray hard for us friends and family. Blessings... Why is July 15th always so horrible?

So, this date has taken on this weird and "mythical" mojo in the Waters' household. Take a look at my posts from last year....

If you guys remember, this was when corrie was super miserable with Ethne in her belly and we were trying to relaunch in Morrow.

OR in 2006, when we were losing Village on the Green's clubhouse for our Orchard meetings.

OR in 2005, when I sent out an email saying Corrie and I were thinking about moving back to Illinois and not moving forward with the church plant.

Or in 2004, when I lost my job at our ould church.

Well yesterday, I didn't realize what day it was... but I should have. Guess what? Corrie broke out in a ridiculous rash from head to toe... NO KIDDING! She can't go outside because heat makes it flair up... and we couldn't have staff dinner at our house... what in the WORLD????!?!!?!? is wrong with July 15th? Thankfully, corrie is on antibodies and doing a little better, but soooo weird cuz there is a ton of other hard stuff going on with us right now... i'm just going to chalk it up to July 15th week and try to push through....

We welcome your comments below and of course your prayers :)

Prayers...

Pray for Corrie and I over the next month or so.
The lady she babysits for just lost her job, so Corrie cannot babysit for her anymore. We're down to one income again. She starts sitting for a little boy 3 days a week in mid-August, so pray the Lord blesses us over the next month. More to come soon.

Reflecting on what's to come...

Hi friends.... here are some of the pics from Sunday.

These past few days have been crazy. I'm trying to understand what God is doing and it's a little hard right now. I received an email of another lady being healed of cancer and another lady that doesn't have it (drs thought she might). My dad goes in for tests/update on his cancer this week. Pray for healing friends.

We received an amazing offering at the Orchard that caught us up. But, Corrie lost her babysitting job last Wednesday, so we're not sure what's next. She's got another little boy that is to start mid-August... so really pray for us in the next 2 months.

God is running me into all kinds of wonderful people and I've been able to love a ton lately.

Just some thoughts. We appreciate your prayers.

I'm performing a wedding this Saturday and the Jennings vow-renewal at the end of the month, so that should be fun. Enjoy the 4th friends.
