Worship Update

Hey everybody,

Well, lots to tell. Our month of visiting CFLM is up. I know that a few of you have liked it and are probably gonna stay. Good for you! Corrie and I are planning on attending Rivers Crossing (www.riverscrossing.cc) for the remainder of our time in the Maineville area. I know that Jason and Amanda have landed at Apex in Dayton and love it there. Our hope is that no matter where your former leaders are that you will continue to attend a local church body and continue to GROW! Don’t just go on Sundays, but get in a small group and participate.

Here's a collection of pics from the past few weeks. When you are unemployed, it's interesting what you have time to do...lol! Below you'll find:

**a pic from our seats at the Reds/Cubs game with the Johnsons.
**2 pics from Ethne and I's daddy-daughter day
**couple of pics of our newest family member Bartholomew
**smoked pork chops that were so good Corrie cleaned the bones off :)
**pics of the kids playing in their pool in the backyard
**and of course, Zeke being a boy and burying his toys in the dirt outside

Enjoy!

In case there were any doubts out there...lol.

Here's some interesting stuff about me. I RE-took a couple of personality and gifts tests during this whole job search thing. Here's what they tell us about me. No surprises I think :)

Myers-Briggs says that I am...

ENTJ (Extraversion, iNtuition, Thinking, Judgment)
You are frank, decisive, and assume leadership readily. You quickly see illogical and inefficient procedures and policies, and develop and implement comprehensive systems to solve organizational problems. You enjoy long-term planning and goal setting. You are usually well informed, well read, enjoy expanding your knowledge and passing it on to others. You are forceful in presenting your ideas.
Famous people with your same ENTJ personality include: Franklin D. Roosevelt , Harrison Ford, Steve Martin, Whoopi Goldberg, Sigourney Weaver, Margaret Thatcher, Al Gore, David Letterman and Jim Carrey.

My spiritual gifts testing ranked me this way...
The top 3 and my strongest gifts were:
1) Pastor/Shepherd – The shepherd who leads & feeds; the coach of the team.
2) Administrator – The person who leads the church and its ministries.
3) Evangelist – The aggressive soul-winner who seeks the lost.

Things I do ok, included:
4)Teacher – the scholar making clear the doctrines and teachings of the bible.
5)Prophet – the hellfire brimstone preacher who points out sin.
6) Exhorter – the “how to” teacher, giving the application of God’s word.

Areas I need to work on were:
7) Mercy-Shower – The person who understands and comforts fellow Christians.
8) Giver – The person who meets the financial need of Christians & church ministries.
9) Server – person who meets the practical needs of fellow Christians and the church.

Storm Damage...

So, we had a really bad storm this morning. It only lasted like 90 minutes but it caused some major flooding and lots of accidents. We escaped with just a busted front door (cracked in a few spots and a bent shock) and lots of water.
