700,000 without power...

yesterday in the greater-cincy area. It was crazy! 50-60 mph winds tore through our subdivision and removed pieces of many of our neighbors' homes. We only lost a shutter. We are going to need to do some tree cleanup at the church definitely... any volunteers? :)
Also, we have had a record-setting day at the coffeeshop due to people needing a place for internet, coffee or just light! It's been an adventure so far. Our wi-fi works still, so maybe we should put a sign out that we're an internet hot-spot and make some cash... lol.

Sad that my life seems to ge seeing so much loss lately.

Hopeful that my FATHER has got us and is in control at all times.

Annoyed with certain aspects of life that I cannot change.

More randomness...

Corrie needs to make this dish again... it was awesome!!!!

U of M won a game under rich-Rod finally... they looked horrible doing it too... oh well.

We showed our home again yesterday. that's now twice. more God please, so she can sell.

It was nice to have mom visit this weekend out of the blue.

I want to play golf at least 2 more times before Thanksgiving... anybody want to go?

We revamped our worship room this weekend... i really liked it!

I'm really enjoying reading 1John right now... it's really applicable to life... good stuff.

My youth pastors are amazing and have 3 beautiful children.

My associate pastor has been a rock for me lately... his kids all have furr... weird :)

The Father is... well, He's just in charge... and never surprised (sometimes I forget that).

I never see my neighbors outside anymore... that seems really strange....

Random thoughts...

Went to see my parents last weekend... Dad's going through radiation for his cancer... took kids to the apple orchard and watched 1/2 of michigan's loss to Utah:(

Good meeting last sunday... i think we had a good discussion on kids' ministry and vision... finances still a major issue though....

Corrie and I worked hard this week...

Zeke was at the hospital on wednesday night with 105 fevor... the dr and nurses were great and children's in Weshchester was amazing, but putting an IV in the strongest 2 year old ever is difficult cuz he can't move his hand... interesting....

We have AMAZING friends... the johnsons stayed at our house till almost 3am while we were at the hospital.... the Istnick's understood when corrie couldn't watch the boys, what amazing grace... scott and matt and ashley all helped us paint laundry and stairwell and touch up for the open house this weekend....

Mom's in town to check on the kids and I took a road trip yesterday to Pennsylvania... interesting story....

God is good, but life is hard.... that's what I got for now
