It just keeps snowing...

and snowing and snowing. There was a lot of ice last night too. We even closed the shop early today. Very cold and hard to keep life on schedule this week.

I'm really excited...

...about our theme for 2009. Last year, we attempted to teach our church how to swim. We taught on living a life "soaked" in Jesus. This year, we're going to try and focus our ears, our minds and our hearts to the right "VOICES." As our team begins preparing Scriptures, illustrations, ideas and more, we're really getting pumped about sharing the truth of Jesus in new and interesting ways. Pray with us as we do our best to create a listening atmosphere. As some have said, 2009 is a year of CHANGE, so hopefully we will change the way we listen in the coming 10 months.

God is constantly teaching right now... probably always is, but I seem to be awake or something... hearing alot about life, choices, consequences, passion and focus. HE's so faithful.

Second...

We are now an independent coffee house! Yea for business! After 5 years of being a franchise, we now are able to be our own thing. We've gotten a few new things in but over the next few weeks our signs, stickers and more will be changing. Good news... still waiting news...

Corrie started her new job monday babysitting and things are going pretty smooth... great news for our family.

The weather has held up her appointment with avon till thursday.

We yack with the lawyer today to find out if our increased income will affect our homeloan... please pray friends.

2009?

So here we are... another year down. Corrie and I have now begun our 5th year since we left the security of traditional ministry. It has been an interesting ride, but rewarding, exciting and scary all at once.

Zeke turns 3 in 14 days... wow!

We've been doing a weekly meeting for 3 years this weekend with the Orchard... we'll be in our facility a year and a half... seems like yesterday. God has shown us sooooo much in such a short time. There have been improvements and fall-on-your-face moments in the past couple of years, but Jesus is so ridiculously faithful I just can't describe it.

We feel blessed as a family... we are blessed as pastors... we are loved (though we forget it sometimes:) both here on earth and by our radical Father.

COUPLE OF NOTES:
Corrie got the job babysitting the second family... Yahoo! That means a good deal more income for our little family and another great opportunity for us to love on someone new. She started today.

She interviews officially with AVON tomorrow for another job op as well.

We had a great crowd on sunday and God was definitely among us... here's hoping for a wonderful year.

Our contract with our relator is up, so we're deciding on what to do with the house situation.

The church gave a kitchen table to someone yesterday... pray that it blesses their family immensely (spell?)...

Our puppy is becoming a good dog.

Our kids are huge.
