The Paxton Vineyard Campus launched this morning on campus pastor Jim Wood's 40th birthday.
Attendance at the 9:15am service was 191... and at the 11am service it was 192.
If you figure 40 duplicates, total attendance was 343. This far exceeded my expectation.
If you want to see photos of the day, Jim Egli posted some at:

Thank you, God, for a wonderful launch Sunday!

Vineyard Church Family
This Sunday is a very special day as we launch our new Paxton Vineyard Campus.
As we race to the finish line to get everything ready, we want to invite all of you who can to help out. We particularly need help with painting, drywall, cleaning, electrical work and cabinetry. So if you can grab a broom or a paintbrush or whatever, and have a couple of hours or more available, please join in this exciting venture.
How can you help? Just show up at the Paxton Vineyard building at 152 N Market St., in downtown Paxton, anytime between 9am and 9pm, any day between now and this Sunday. If you have questions or need more information, call Jim Wood the campus pastor on his cell phone at 217-778-2858.
Thanks for considering this special ministry opportunity!

Tomorrow is the day...
Corrie is scheduled to be induced tomorrow morning. In honor of the occasion, I thought I'd put up pics of Ezekiel and Ethne's first day's of life :)

Charleston Campus!
Had their first interest meeting last night!
A great young couple named Tim and Melissa Wheeler will be launching small groups this Fall to get the ball rolling on a Coles County, IL campus. Pray for their family and for the small group of commitments that are starting to emerge.
Come Holy Spirit!

Busy, busy, busy
Hey friends!
We have lots to tell, but just know for now the following as you pray...
1- Baby #3 is not here yet, but we're hoping soon so we can enjoy the long Labor Day weekend.
2- Adam's responsibilities at the Vineyard have increased to a point that he is officially pulling back from his second job as of September 1st.
3- Zeke is starting preschool next week for the first time.
We feel very blessed in the midst of our crazy schedules. Thanks for all of the prayers. Especially those for Corrie's gall bladder that was to be removed, but now she is completely healed and the last ultrasound showed nothing. Go Jesus!
Last church note: We've had lots of baptisms and tons of good prayer/ministry at the Vineyard lately. God is really breaking through powerfully.
