Messiest burger ever... maybe the best...

So Goldstar Chili has always been a place for coneys and 3 ways and stuff, but they've got some new stuff on their menu that's really good. For your children, the chicken nugget thingys are a lot better than anywhere elses. And Corrie has fallen in love with their wraps. We don't really go there for chili stuff, but today I had an encounter with something I've never had before. Here's what was on the burger:
*a 1/4lb. burger
*cheese
*lettuce
*tomato
*bacon (yum)
*ham (weird but amazing)
*bbq sauce
*and I'm not sure but I think it was chipotle sauce

It was definitely the messiest burger I've ever eaten and it may have been the best. Anyway, go try one sometime. They're expensive but worth it.

Two new CD's today...

at Family Christian. While talking with a good brother of mine who was having a pretty crappy day, I wandered around Family Christian looking at bibles, chord charts and I happened on a couple of albums that caught my fancy. Jason Upton again brings his amazingly prophetic voice to the songs on "Beautiful People." If you're not familiar with Upton, visit http://www.jasonupton.com/ and soak in & buy his cd's if you want. CD number 2 was Agnew's new offering. His deep and powerful lyric is again an "in your face" critic about seeing the church in a new way. He also dives into his own struggles on his journey with Jesus. "On a Corner in Memphis" is an amazing song. www.toddagnew.com On a similar note, I've been listening to Ashley and Matt's Johnson's copy of a Shane & Shane album that I haven't heard in awhile. It's really good stuff.

Re-writing bad anniversaries...

So, my last thought of the night is this: GOD PLEASE PUT CORRIE IN LABOR TODAY so that we can re-write our crappy week with a joy. Doesn't that sound good?

Bad anniversaries...

Does anyone out there have a bad anniversary? Like a death or accident or something like that. A time when even if you don't realize what week/day it is till after the time is over, you just are off/depressed/angry all week long? For me...

this is the 3rd anniversary of Hell Week for my family. For those of you who know what that means, pray for me as I'm just "off" this week. We appreciate it.

Family Week

Hey everybody...
We had a tremendous week with our family. Ellen and Corrie's folks came down for the 4th of July and we had 17 people over for a cookout. Also, they helped us put the finishing touches on the building project. Finally, my folks showed up on saturday and we all went to the Claddagh for wonderful food. Sunday, they joined us for church in the new community building. In all, it was a really good week praise God and enjoy the pics... side-note Corrie's contractions are getting stronger. Won't be long now. Yeah!
