for those who don' like BIG CHURCHES...

... I submit to you the Urbana Vineyard's "Back to School Blast."

Tonight, the Vineyard donated eye and hearing exams, haircuts, professional school pictures and more to those in need from the Champaign-Urbana community. Beyond that, our incredible church had brought in 300 backbacks for children before this weekend's worship service. That number multiplied to 800 by the time they started tonight!!! That's amazing. To further the donations, they filled those backpacks with school supplies for the upcoming semester.

And if all that wasn't enough, we had hundreds sign up for prayer from our ministry team. They, also, elicited the services of many of our strongest prophetic people for "personal prophetic encouragement" and "dream interpretations."

Oh yea, and there was a whole bunch of food... and a bunch of inflatable games for the families while they waited. Nice job Pam and the dozens of volunteers...

...and nice job Vineyard for showing the world why we need bigger churches. I was very impressed.

We have felt...

...really blessed by our church over the last month. Corrie and I have been fed some absolutely wonderful food. Also, we were blessed by an awesome shower for baby #3... I love that we have a mountain of diapers right now! Finally, some others have even helped Corrie out with some housework. So we have no words for how amazing you've been Vineyard.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Started my new...

job today at the Vineyard Church in Urbana, IL. I am now overseeing all the aspects of Community Life there. There is a great team of people that I will have the pleasure of working with this year. Pray for us as we transition to this new responsibility. We are very excited and there are lots of things to do before our fall calendar gets rolling.

Also, Corrie is about a month from delivering baby #3, so things are getting exciting!
