Download...

When the download hits for work every month, I get crazy busy for about a week. That's really hard in the middle of a fast...lol. Anyway, I put in tons of hours over the last week. Sunday being the craziest, I went on inspections from 6am-10:30am. I happened to be in Danville, so I went to worship there. Helped with the prayer team and prayed for healing for a couple's uncle. Good stuff... and great message from the Vineyard's youth pastor Leah (www.thevineyardchurch.us/podcast). More amazing, she preached while several months pregnant... very impressive. Afterwards, I got back in the car till 4pm. Then, we had an amazing small group sunday night from 5-7pm. God really moved in the guys' prayer group. I think there was some good release... and we prayed for Emma's ear and on monday, the Dr's said that everything was healthy and good... amazing!

Finally, for now anyway, our church is in week #2 of our fast. I feel like God is moving closer to answers and breakthroughs for many of us. BUT, we are weakening physically, so many are beginning to feel the spiritual attacks. Keep praying friends! Stress of family, finances, work and more are the easiest ways to weaken your resolve. Press in and let God show you his victory.
In His Grip,

IMPORTANT Support News...

Hi friends!
As you know, we are trying to raise $24,000 over a 2-year period to help offset the cost of living while Corrie and I are immersing ourselves in the planting process with the Vineyard. This first year has gone pretty well so far (see numbers to the right). Even in the face of setbacks, we've had tremendous blessings. For instance, one of our monthly givers has had to pull back on their support, so our monthly blessings are a little less than expected. On the other hand, the past few weeks have more than made up for that loss. God is so amazing. In the past few weeks, we seen the following blessings roll in:
**$260 reimbursement check from our homeowners insurance in Ohio
**$250 gas card to help with Adam's travels for his day job
**$100 one-time gift
Isn't that tremendous! God is so good to our family.

FINAL NOTE: Corrie and I are participating in a church-wide fast from March 14th-April 4th. Adam's is a more strict fast. Corrie, due to the pregnancy, is fasting from sweets, soda and FaceBook. Pray that the Lord not only gives us strength over the next couple of weeks, but that He also reveals and breaksthrough into our lives and the lives of our church.

If you want to follow what God is doing go to www.thevineyardchurch.us/hungryblog
There is already a story of a little boy being healed of a skull/brain issue (on March 8th). Amazing story!

Blessings friends,

Take the time and listen to this!!!

"Over the years, I've found that those who love the church the most are the ones that know what God has called them to do and are doing it! And, those who are bored, dissatisfied, and stalled are sitting back and saying `feed me'." - Hap Lehman 3-6-2010

Hi friends and family,
Please, take some time and listen to the podcast of ZAP! Where are we going?
It's a great talk by our lead pastor Happy Lehman. It's a great look at our church family and our vision for the future at the Vineyard in Illinois.

Email me a bunch of questions and comments. I'd love to hear what you think!

Exited to be a part of...

what God is doing here in central Illinois. When we moved to Illinois back in September, it was a huge leap for our family to look at planting a church again. We were coming to join the vision of 10x10, which includes 10 church plants and 10 multi-site campuses in 10 years. The main campus here in Champaign-Urbana is coming up on a year since this vision went into full effect. The Sullivan campus launched around Easter last year. The Danville campus (see pic of the old YMCA building they're using) launched in September. Finally, we sent a church planter in August to the Chicago area. This new church already has a core team of 50-75 people. Wow! Anyway, what sparked all of this. Well, I was reading our monthy newsletter at the Vineyard and saw the attendance numbers... and was just blown away at what God could do in less than a year. Anyway, here's what I saw...

FEBRUARY AVERAGE WEEKLY ATTENDANCE
Urbana 1,965
Sullivan 229
Danville 249
TOTAL ATTENDANCE 2,443

Isn't that amazing?! When you think that the Urbana campus sent considerable teams to Sullivan and Danville, the church has litterally reached hundreds of new people. God is so amazing.

I can't wait to see what's next! Currently, there are potential church plants and/or multi-site teams forming for several other towns. These are not set in stone, but I have heard interested parties talk about: Bloomington, Charleston, Decatur, Paxton, Peoria and others. Won't it be exciting to see what God does this year?

Would love your thoughts....

ZAP!

Just came off a leadership weekend at the Vineyard called ZAP. All 3 campuses (danville, sullivan and urbana) met separately on Friday night for times of worship, prayer and prophetic words from God. The Urbana campus went really well. God moved all of us to really pray hard about untiy, love, and a time of refreshing/new life in Jesus. Then, Saturday morning all 3 campuses came together for workshops. Corrie and I went to a small group one then separated for worshop 2. She went to one on dreams and I went to one on personal devotions. Really good stuff. We are blessed to have so many gifted communicators in house. Finally, the weekend wrapped up with a message on future and vision from Hap. He really laid it out well and I hope that everyone gets a chance to listen to the heart that Jesus has laid on him as our Senior Pastor. If I can find a podcast of it, I will post it later.

Sunday was another good message on FASTING from Ben and another good night of small group.

My time of refreshing and encouraging continued with a good lunch meeting with Hap monday and another lunch with Jim E (our small group guru) on Tuesday. Wednesday, I will be off to do my regular job of traveling everywhere, but the past few days have been extremely fruitful and encouraging.

Thank you Jesus for all of the blessings! And thank you to those who are regularly listening and blessing us. You guys are amazing.

Great 24 hours...

So, we took a last second trip to Cincy (the less than 24hr. kind) yesterday. Corrie and I drove over after a couple of property inspections in Danville. We had to sign some more paperwork for our house sale. We won't know anything until March 27th, but it was WELL WORTH the trip.

Our incredible friends, Jeff and Rhonda, took us all out to dinner and our other amazing friends, Matt and Ashley, put us up at their hotel de Johnson on last minute notice. WE MISS YOU GUYS A TON!

We got to sample both Grinders Coffee and Kidd Coffee while in town... best 2 cups I've had in 6 months... hands down. We got treated to Benihanna... awesome as usual. We got to laugh and catch up and see everybody's dogs. God is so good to us.

We went back to our house before we left and picked up a couple of toys and a dresser we couldn't fit in the trip back in September when we moved. The house is completely empty. It was a little sad because the new little one won't be born/raised in that house :(

We miss Cincy: favorite food places, stuff to do, our house, and especially our friends. We are still settling into IL. Ohio was our first home as a couple and a large part of us is still there I think.

The trip was safe and we caught 4 more inspections on our way home (Danville, Fithian, Longview and Sidney). We got home to happy kids (Yeah!!!) and took them out to SteakNShake for a cheap supper.

Thank YOU Father for how you guide our steps. Bless our friends both in Ohio and IL. In Jesus name....Amen

Shout up some prayers. We have ZAP! this weekend. Should be good, if I don't have to work... although work is helpful too :)
