what God is doing here in central Illinois. When we moved to Illinois back in September, it was a huge leap for our family to look at planting a church again. We were coming to join the vision of 10x10, which includes 10 church plants and 10 multi-site campuses in 10 years. The main campus here in Champaign-Urbana is coming up on a year since this vision went into full effect. The Sullivan campus launched around Easter last year. The Danville campus (see pic of the old YMCA building they're using) launched in September. Finally, we sent a church planter in August to the Chicago area. This new church already has a core team of 50-75 people. Wow! Anyway, what sparked all of this. Well, I was reading our monthy newsletter at the Vineyard and saw the attendance numbers... and was just blown away at what God could do in less than a year. Anyway, here's what I saw...
FEBRUARY AVERAGE WEEKLY ATTENDANCEUrbana 1,965
Sullivan 229
Danville 249
TOTAL ATTENDANCE 2,443Isn't that amazing?! When you think that the Urbana campus sent considerable teams to Sullivan and Danville, the church has litterally reached hundreds of new people. God is so amazing.
I can't wait to see what's next! Currently, there are potential church plants and/or multi-site teams forming for several other towns. These are not set in stone, but I have heard interested parties talk about: Bloomington, Charleston, Decatur, Paxton, Peoria and others. Won't it be exciting to see what God does this year?
Would love your thoughts....
