FRUSTRATED!!!

Yesterday was a hard day for me.

I love my job at the coffee shop. It's great for me to get to know people in the community and share Christ's love with those around me. But, yesterday was tough for me. Not because of my job, but because of what was going on around me. Let me explain:

One of our youth lost his dad and the funeral was yesterday.

Our kids' pastor lost an uncle and the funeral was yesterday.

One of our core people (Mark) was in the hospital with chest/heart problems.

Adam was at work... I was unable to get to any of those 3 places yesterday.

I felt like a horrible pastor. Today, I still feel like a horrible pastor.

I know that me working was the right decision for my family, but my church family really suffered yesterday. I really suffered yesterday. The stuff that I really feel like God has called me to do... did not get done yesterday.
Pray for us to get full financial support soon, so I can excercise my gifts and not stay stuck on the sidelines of ministry.

Zeke has ASTHMA

As of this afternoon, our firstborn Ezekiel was officially diagnosed with asthma. Please, pray for us as we learn more about this ailment and what it will mean for us over the next several years. Zeke has been on breathing treatments from time to time for quite awhile now, but now they will become a daily ritual in our home. There is a very good chance that Zeke will outgrow the asthma, but only time will tell. We understand that a regular treatment for Zeke may take care of his nighttime fits (probably stem from him not being able to breathe) and his anger when he's overstimulated or has been playing hard for a long time (he may have been having asthma attacks and not able to communicate his pain). We were told today that his condition is a chronic one. Pray especially for Corrie and I.

What a great GOD!

Unexpected and amazing blessings right now....

Keep praying friends and family. The floodgates are beginning to open. Just some praises that we hope are duplicated in February:
  • church rent paid
  • bills paid
  • taxes paid
  • tax return processed and will be here in a few week's (it'll help immensely!)
  • corrie finding some odd jobs to suplement our income
  • the church is growing
  • the youth group is exploding
  • our adults are amazing volunteers that keep challenging and spurring us on
  • the SPIRIT is moving and alive in the Orchard!

KEEP PRAYING EVERYONE! There is a long way to go, but our God is faithful.
