Yesterday was a hard day for me.
I love my job at the coffee shop. It's great for me to get to know people in the community and share Christ's love with those around me. But, yesterday was tough for me. Not because of my job, but because of what was going on around me. Let me explain:
One of our youth lost his dad and the funeral was yesterday.
Our kids' pastor lost an uncle and the funeral was yesterday.
One of our core people (Mark) was in the hospital with chest/heart problems.
Adam was at work... I was unable to get to any of those 3 places yesterday.
I felt like a horrible pastor. Today, I still feel like a horrible pastor.
I know that me working was the right decision for my family, but my church family really suffered yesterday. I really suffered yesterday. The stuff that I really feel like God has called me to do... did not get done yesterday.
Pray for us to get full financial support soon, so I can excercise my gifts and not stay stuck on the sidelines of ministry.

God has a plan and sometimes we don't understand what it is, but it is there. Sometimes not being where you want to be is God's plan. Someone came into the coffee shop and you where his or plan that day. God Bless and keep working toward God's Plan.
