Family Reunion SUNDAY!

MAY 10, 2009
10:30am

I would like to invite you to an exciting day in the life of the Orchard Church coming up on May 10, 2009. As some of you will remember, we did our first monthly worship gathering on Mother’s Day 2005… four years ago! From that day, we said that in 2 years we wanted to be public. God did some amazing building and strengthening during that time from monthly worship to Village on the Green’s clubhouse to evenings at The Leaf. And then in May of 2007, we got the word that we could move into the Morrow building. After a couple of months of cleaning and work, we launched our weekly worship services in Morrow. We are now celebrating 2 years in Morrow. Praise God! We have had our ups and downs, but Jesus has been faithful and constant in His love for us through it all. We plan on celebrating His faithfulness on Mother’s Day 2009.
Friends, you have been and/or are an incredible support to the Orchard Church. Without what Jesus has done through you over the past four years, our community of faith would have failed. We want to take this day and thank you! We want to take this day and recognize your contribution of time, talent and resources.
Finally, we want to stress that this is a “no strings attached” invitation. We won’t ask you to stand up and be recognized. We are not planning any special “miracle-offering” goal or anything. We just want to worship as friends, as children of the same Father, and as people who have given of themselves to see God’s church succeed in this place.
We hope that you will take the time and RSVP to us very soon. We are asking for the RSVP because we will have a special gift for the women who are there on Mother’s Day. Thanks for your time and I can’t wait to worship with you on May 10th!

Friends forever in Jesus,
Adam J. Waters

Awesome God!

So, as always, GOD answers prayers in weird and amazing ways. We've been praying for a month for my mom to find a job... she got one. We had a time of prayer for Zeke's crazy elevated sugars a few weeks ago after church... all tests back normal/no diabetes/he's healed! Wooohooo! Our lawyer gave us some non-definitive, but interesting news about the home. It will take a lot longer to get things rendered out (more than likely/based on his experience) than originally thought, so we shouldn't have to worry about our home for quite awhile (months at least). This opens up a whole lot more options to us. Thank you so much FATHER!

On a side and fun note: LANDEN SMOKE HOUSE... amazing bbq for dinner tonight... yum:)

NO NEWS

Still no answers on the house or on Zeke... doctors gave us the runaround all day long... the lawyer is supposed to call us on Tuesday. We're a little frustrated.
Also, pray for Ethne... she has the flu and a high temp.

Pray for next Monday, April 20th

Lots of important information will be available to us by this coming Monday.

First, we are supposed to find out the test results from Zeke's day at Children's Hospital this past Monday. By the 20th, we'll know if he (1)has diabetes, (2)what type, (3)or if it's another condition with his sugars.

Second, Monday is also the day our lawyer goes to court against our mortgage company. This coming week, we should know if we get to stay in the house or not... praise God that's finally happening. The uncertainty is just annoying. Anyway, the judge decides monday if we have a case concerning the time that corrie was out of work and we struggled to make house payments.

Third, our landlords for the church will be back from their winter trip (they travel to warmmer climates during the cold months of the year... lucky!) and will hopefully making their decisions on continuing our lease for a third year... this is the one we're not worried about, but we'll take the prayers. This is exciting because the banks will talk purchasing ability after you've rented a place for 3 years... cool!

SO, we hope that you will all join us as we pray, pray, pray for good news in all facets of our lives this coming week: children, family and church!

Thanks for the prayers friends.

We took the kids to a dairy farm near Yellow Springs...

With Corrie's folks in town, we enjoyed an afternoon in the sun with the kids. And just for grins I unloaded a bunch of other pics from my phone also (hope quality is ok). Here also is some of the kids playing in the rocks at the Johnson's house, our first pork roast on the smoker and some ice on the church building from the big storm in February. Enjoy!
