A word for 2010...

1Chronicles 28:9-10 & 20
(v9-10)“My son, get to know the God of your ancestors. Worship & serve him with your whole heart & with a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart & understands & knows every plan & thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. So take this seriously. The Lord has chosen you to build a Temple as his sanctuary. Be strong & do the work.”
(v20) Then David continued, “ Be strong & courageous, & do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged by the size of the task, for the Lord God my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the temple of the Lord is finished correctly.”
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Overwhelmed...

by what God is doing right now. The amount of blessing that has come our way in the last few weeks is incredible. Another unexpected gift was stuffed in our door when we came home from Christmas Eve Worship. That brings our December pledges (of monthly support for 2010) and one-time gifts to around $3,000...WOW! That, coupled with our study materials gift and the interest in the January small group we're starting, has us praising Jesus like crazy during this holiday season. Merry Christmas friends!

Working and fundraising and ministry are all...

starting to produce a lot of fruit. Here's a quick snapshot into all that has gone on recently. It's no short discussion, but I will be brief due to the fact that we are very, very tired and ready for the 4-day weekend for Christmas.

#1 Adam has been doing inspections non-stop. Which is good for the income of the family, but hard on the body to travel so much. PTL! though, because we will be making rent and bills again for another month. Go God!

#2 More support has rolled in for the month. See our totals in the blog's right hand column. The Holy Spirit is really starting to push in this area and we feel so blessed it's just silly.

#3 Lots of study going on. Reading books faster than I thought I could. Corrie will be taking some classes on the books this Spring hopefully.

#4 Corrie still helping out with the kids ministry at churh. Adam is going to join the pastoral care team (mostly hospital visits and that sort of thing). He goes through training and things starting in January. ALSO, we will be staring a small group at our home in January...woo hoo:)

and finally...
#5 It looks like we've narrowed our field to either Bloomington or Peoria for future ministry. Keep praying friends!

MERRY CHRISTMAS
Adam, Corrie, Zeke, Ethne and the labs
