GO BEARCATS!

Hi friends...
Lloyd Carr was once considered a friend in our household. Like a dear oldschool grandfather coach that we'd love to see prowling the sidelines. We got mad when he did and smiled (once a year) like he did. Today, he is officially excommunicated. If you can't motivate your team after being the first team EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to lose to a 1AA program when you're in the top 25, let alone the top 5... then you have no business coaching... ever... again...never again. And if the complete thrashing by Oregon, the injuries to 3 starters and the perpetual ribbing that all of us faith Maize and Blue fanatics will feel over the next few months were not bad enough. ABC goes and completely disappoints me in ways I cannot begin to express here in this blog. I'm just afraid about what I might say. Well, let me set the stage. All afternoon, ABC ran commercials about how they were the home of college football. The network where you'll always find college football. Blah, blah, blah. Well, tonight there were several college football games including A TOP TEN MATCHUP!!!!!!!!!! LSU vs Virg. Tech. How could it get any better than that? If you want to show a game on national television then that's the one to show today right? Aparently not! Sooooooooo, after spending all afternoon with the only game on being the dismanteling of my ex-favorite team (at least until Lloyd is fired). Corrie cooked up some chili around the fourth quarter of the most UN-competitive game I've ever seen and we told ourselves at least we'd get to maybe watch a good game tonight. We waited. We waited. And then in some SICK and TWISTED joke. 7:00pm Eastern rolled around and it was time for several hours of watching guys "turn left." Some network idiot decided that a car race was more important that #2 vs #9 in football!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! If you look at ratings for television over the last 10 years the only things that beat out college football are the NFL (more football!) and the American Idol finale. NBC was showing golf and CBS tennis! So, I guess on Saturdays we don't watch football anymore. What the heck? So, because they play on thursdays mostly, they're local and they're not OSU.... like I said:

Go Bearcats!
