I'm not a fan of politics and religion mixing...

most of the time because our God is a global God. He's actually wrapped up in the politics of every country and not just ours. That's sometimes a revelation to us. But we must remember that God raised up nations (like the Assyrians) and used them for his purposes to wake up the Israelite people from time to time. This is revolutionary for us to understand that God put leaders in the places that he chooses and then uses them for his glory and not theres. Check out ROMANS 13:1 "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."
I also know that God wants us to be good stewards of the gifts that he has given us. Such as a free country. Such as the right to vote for our elected representatives. In this time of transition for the country that we do live in. It was nice today to learn a little more about a candidate that 1)used to be a pastor 2)is pro-life and does NOT like abortion 3)wants marriage to be legally defined as the union of one man and one woman 4)actually cares about people and faith before politics... These are things I could get on board with. I'm not a registered republican but I hope this guy makes it out of the primaries. Read up if you want to ~ http://www.mikehuckabee.com/
