So much has happened in the past few days...

...that we have had little time for blogging, so I'm gonna cram as much as possible into a few short sentences. Our good friends Matt and Ashley Johnson came and visited for a couple of days. Thanks Ashley for more great pics of the kids! What would we do without you guys? It was awesome to see them and reconnect after a few months. We used to see the Johnsons 2-4 times a week in Ohio and we missed them lots. We did our Christmas gifts with them, some Christmas shopping, and more. Work was a little slow last week, but that allowed for some good friend time.

Adam worked all day Saturday and then his sister and nephew came into town. Grandma treated us to a trip to the Reindeer Ranch on Saturday evening. The kids liked the deer, but were more interested in the swings, the "mountain" of hay, the little train they could play in and ring the bell on, and of course hide-and-seek amongst the Christmas tree farm. It was really fun, but waaayyy too cold to stay very long... I think we'll try it again next year. Samantha came and stayed Saturday through Monday also. She is headed to Ohio for the month and then will be moving back to Champaign in January.
Sam joined us as we went to the Danville campus for worship on Sunday morning. It was really cool to see how much they've done in such a short amount of time (they launched September 27, 2009). Great worship team, really good donuts, and the kids loved their Planet Vineyard experience. We really liked what they'd done in their welcome and cafe area. Plus, they have great spaces for their teens and gathering spots for events. God's got some BIG plans for that campus I can feel it. Jay and Dennis and Bill and the crew their really do a tremendous job & their hearts on are fire. Anyway, the weekend wrapped up after services we went to my dad's bank's Christmas party and the kids got toys and we ate pizza.
FINANCIAL STUFF:
**We have received a couple of small gifts over the past few days. Thank You Friends!
**My inspection check was for about $100 more than we had planned. Praise God!
**A few of our Vineyard Books for our training have been provided. Awesome!

We have lots more to tell, but this will grease the wheels a little...

Thanks for listening!
